Make Sure It Hurts

Greatness comes with pain. If you want to succeed in anything that you do, you have to make sure that it hurts.
You want to lose some weight?
If it doesn't hurt, you are just having some fun at the gym...you are never going to come close to shedding some weight.
If you want to learn how to ride a bicycle, you are going to have to fall down a number of times... That hurts!!
You want to learn how to play a saxophone, you are going to have to blow your cheeks off.. If it doesn't hurt, you are not learning.
For the convenience of avoiding pain, you are never going to be close to being successful.
The human nature desires comfort, ease and convenience. When you make a decision that hurts, you automatically separate yourself from everyone else.
Guess what, with that decision to do what hurts, you are already close to being successful. A lot of people avoid hurt which is why only very few people are successful.
The will to go through pain is what separates those who are great from those who are mediocre.
Ask Usain Bolt if it was fun putting in endless hours of training..
Ask Mohammed Ali if it's possible, if it was fun punching a bag for crazy hours.
Ask Serena Williams how fun it is to be on the lawn when everyone else was having fun at the park.
Whatever you do in your quest for success, make sure it hurts!

Shout out to Emeka Mbadiwe for this!
