The mother of two identified as Sandra Manuela Da Costa Macedo, tumbled over a balcony railing as she was taking the snap. Shocking footage shows her plunging to her death while still clutching the selfie stick.
She had been sitting on the railing when she fell backwards from the high rise in Panama City, on Friday. She is understood to be a teacher working in the country.
According to local reports, nearby construction workers had shouted to her to get off the railing but strong winds meant she couldn't hear them. The horror is being investigated by cops, who believe a gust of wind may have knocked her off balance.
