Happie Boys reportedly arrested in Cyprus, remanded in prison

Former security men cum entertainers, Happie Boys, have been reportedly arrested in Cyprus.

An impeccable source told Igbere TV that three of the boys were arrested and arraigned in court yesterday and thereafter were remanded in prison.

Although details of their arrest and detention is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, Igbere TV recalls that boys made news earlier this year after they called out clergyman, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who sent them on scholarship to Cyprus after they were sacked by a fast food restaurant for dancing on duty.

The boys led by Matthew Kelechi, made fun of the renowned priest alleging that he abandoned them in Cyprus.

They subsequently rejected the clergyman's offer to pay for their return flights to Nigeria so they could attend any university in Nigeria or Benin Republic.

The boys also made unpleasant remarks about the clergyman and mocked his inability to continue their overseas scholarship in Europe over economic reasons and scarcity of foreign exchange.
